What particular gifts or strengths did your coach bring to the coaching sessions? Maureen brought her enquiring skills in helping to identify my strengths which I did not appreciate enough. She is very perceptive in teasing out the areas which I needed to focus on.

Yes I did and more – the sessions helped me to focus on what is needed in order to scale my business, and to support my personal development.

It was really helpful to have tasks and actions listed with a timeframe in which to achieve them and reviewing progress at each session.

What was the problem you needed to solve?
I was approaching the end of my NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme in HR. Therefore, I needed to apply for jobs and required some guidance on job application preparation. I was feeling quite anxious particularly due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I also wanted to ensure that I got the most out of my final placement on the scheme to ensure that I have the knowledge and skills. This was crucial for me as I wanted to maximise my experience and be exposed to as much as possible to help me with my development.
Why did you choose Maureen as your coach?
Maureen was recommended to me by several colleagues and I was informed of some of her successes. I was very excited to take up this opportunity.
How did she support you?
Maureen has been fantastic throughout this process. Maureen is extremely positive, enthusiastic and supportive which has made the whole experience for me very comfortable. She is very goals-orientated and ensured that clear deadlines were always put in place to ensure that there was a clear structure in each session. Maureen suggested so many brilliant ideas in each coaching session to help me boost my CV and further develop my skills and knowledge.

What did you particularly like about the approach or delivery?
Maureen’s positive, enthusiastic, supportive and encouraging personality is something I particularly like about her approach in each session.
In terms of approach, it was very structured which helped ensure each session was productive and purposeful. By having a plan and reviewing this each session and by putting in clear goals and deadlines, made it very productive.
How would you summarise the experience as a whole?
The experience has been very positive and I greatly look forward to my coaching sessions. Each session is very productive. Maureen suggests ideas and we discuss different ideas and put in clear goals and deadlines which we review each session. Maureen listens to me and my concerns and always suggests ideas to help try and solve my concerns. Maureen always expresses encouragement which has boosted my confidence.
Would you recommend Maureen as a coach?
I would most definitely recommend Maureen to others! Although my initial problem in terms of securing a job has now been solved, I would like to continue having Maureen as my coach as she has had such a positive impact on my confidence and has had such a significant impact on developing my knowledge and skillset.
