We delivered a pilot Virtual Secondary School Enrichment Day in October 2020.
MSJ Coaching Consultancy provided the school with a pack detailing the history of the NHS. We also provided a list of 350 roles to prepare the Year 9 students (aged 14-15) ahead of the session. The session included showing video clips from a number of Healthcare Professionals. This included Radiographers, Surgical Teams, General Manager from the Womens Service and a Pharmacist. Each Healthcare Professional provided details of the qualifications needed to pursue a career for each job role. The students were particularly inspired by the diversity of the NHS staff, represented around the world! Other students were interested in the NHS Apprenticeship Scheme, the range of NHS roles and the starting salary of £18,000 per annum for junior roles, £110,000-£267,000 for Executive Directors Chief Executive salary per annum.
The evaluation and feedback from the teaching staff and 29 students was very positive. The school have requested delivery of similar sessions for their year 10-12 students.
Our Senior Consultant won the Mayor of London's Award for Business Engagement for an NHS organisation supporting 22 secondary schools and colleges in London in Dec 2020 and Highly Commended Champion promoting career options for students, supporting career leaders and Senior Management Team in schools and colleges.

Developing the Virtual Pilot Scheme was not without its challenges due to COVID 19 pandemic.
Planning arrangements were made at the start of 2020, to deliver the pilot Enrichment Insight Day for 2 schools in East London and Surrey, for 40 students (Year Groups 10,11 & 12). The tour which was set to be delivered in March 2020, had to be cancelled due to COVID 19. This meant that 40 students would not be able to take part in the tour of one of the largest Healthcare Hospital Trust in London. However, upon reflection MSJ Coaching Consultancy decided to delivery the pilot scheme virtually which proved to be a success!

Our goal is to ensure young people are given the opportunity to gain valuable information about the job roles and careers in the Private and Public sectors, from as early as Year 9.
We are committed to supporting schools to motivate students to attain a good education and compete for jobs.
Our virtual Enrichment Day will also demonstrate to OFSTED that the school have a robust career programme in place to support their students make informed choices.
